Bottle A Loved One!!

It's just over two years now since I started producing my Captured Fairy & Mermaid Folk and they are still proving as popular as ever.  In addition to the vintage Captured Fairies on my website I also produce Bespoke Jars, like the one's shown here, where you can bottle a loved one as a Fairy, Mermaid, Pixie or Wizard.  They make wonderful gifts for any occasion; Birthdays, Thank You's, Christenings & Bridesmaid Gifts, I even produced one of a grown man bottling him as a gift to his mother for Christmas!!
I love to hear feedback from clients who have given these as gifts, they always describe it as so funny when the recipient opens the package to see themself staring back at themself as a winged Fairy or mystical mermaid. If you are interested in purchasing a Bespoke Jar all you need to do is visit my website here, where you will see instructions, it's very simple, you just email me an image of the person you wanted "Bottled" and I'll do my magic.  Go on.... Let's get bottling loved one's it's so much fun!!

Dream With Me

I've been focusing alot on Digital Art recently so for a change I got out my Sewing Machine today and sat in my Garden Room with the sunlight streaming through the glass and enjoyed a few hours creating this collage.  It measures approximately 12" x 9"  and is mounted onto an old book cover from the 1930s.  The collage itself is a mixture of machine and hand stitching with vintage lace, netting, trim and old velvet flowers positioned to create a pretty scene with the little girl being the focal point as she invites you to Dream with her!  This piece is one of a kind and is available for sale at £50 plus postage, and I will post overseas also.  If you would like more information please drop me an email!

The Fairy Tale Fair - The Fairest of Them All!

Last Saturday Maygreen Fairies exhibited at the Wonderfully Whimsical Fairy Tale Fair in Patcham, nr Brighton, this Fair is the brain child of Claire of Cat-a-Cake-Creations and boy does she and her lovely parents work hard to create such a fabulous atmosphere and promote this fantastic event.
The Fair was packed with Artists and Makers displaying their amazing talents, there were so many stalls that I didn't get round to photographing them all, but this is just a sneek peek of some of what was on offer.  As well as the Stalls there was a Craft/Workshop room where children were having lots of fun creating, along with a talented Face Painter who made many a childs dream come true by painting their faces in Fairytale Designs with lots of colour and sparkle. Above and Below you can see the beautiful ceramics from Lubilou Ceramics

The truly scrumptious Tea Room was awash with Alice in Wonderland Style Cakes and Goodies, extremely tempting!
The amazing talents of Mooshpie were on display right opposite my stand, and it was very hard not to purchase something from her... I had to show great restraint so as not to spend my money before I'd even made any!
I just adore this little fellow by Lucy of Little Things I Make, be sure to check out her blog here!
Maygreen Fairies stand was jam packed with Fairy Goodness, thank you to all who dropped by it was lovely to meet and chat with you all.  And a big thank you to Christiane Berridge, Editor of The Doll's House Magazine and the Crafts Institute, for taking this beautiful photo of one of my caged fairies above, you can see the photo again and read Christiane's blog post on the Fair here

Another super talented lady Deborah Ballinger, Freelance Illustrator and Giftware Designer, her items made my heart sing.... so beautiful, lots of whimsy to love here.....

And the talent keeps on coming, just feast your eyes on these adoreable designs from Claire of Beetle Cherry, find out more about Claire and her work here

My final image is from the wonderful host Claire of Cat-a-Cake-Creations, thank you so much Claire for a truly wonderful day, I can't wait for the next Fair!  To find out more about The Fairy Tale Fair, please visit their facebook page here.
